The russian military announced the alleged capture of a command post of one of the Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) units in Huliaipole. The Southern Defense Forces reported that they will begin an official check to find out whether this information is true.

In them, the occupiers demonstrate the premises, which they call the headquarters, as well as the equipment left behind - laptops, a mobile phone without a password, seals and other things. According to the russians, this is the command and observation post of the 102nd TDF brigade, located in the central part of the city.
The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, said in a comment to hromadske that this information is being checked, and the relevant authorities will conduct a detailed investigation of the alleged incident.
At the same time, a soldier who is defending this Axis confirmed to journalists that the released footage really shows the command post of the 1st battalion of the 106th brigade of the TDF. Previously, this unit had the number 75 of the battalion as part of the 102nd brigade.
According to him, there were more than ten Ukrainian fighters in the headquarters. As the enemy approached, a gun battle broke out between the parties. The officer noted that the high command did not make a timely decision to withdraw the command posts from Huliaipole, which is why the headquarters was in the zone of direct contact with the enemy, and the personnel were forced to retreat, leaving their property behind.
The soldier also reported that the retreat of the 1st battalion of the 106th brigade exposed the flank of the 2nd battalion of the 102nd brigade, which the russian troops took advantage of by entering from the side of the village of Marfopil and from the north-eastern direction of the city.
Vladyslav Voloshyn stressed that the investigation should establish whether the very fact of the capture of the headquarters took place, as well as the reasons and prerequisites for the events. According to him, after the completion of the inspection, the information will be made public, and law enforcement agencies will open the appropriate proceedings.
"Based on the results of the investigation, an assessment will be given to the actions of all officials involved in these events. No facts will be hidden," the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces assured.
Earlier, relatives of servicemen of the 1st battalion of the 106th brigade stated that the fighters were surrounded in Huliaipole for more than a month, and after leaving it they were transferred to the 225th assault regiment with an order to return to the city.
Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out an operation, as a result of which five settlements in the east of the Dnipropetrovsk Region were liberated.
