The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the published transcript of a conversation between the russian dictator vladimir putin and US President George W. Bush in the early 2000s.
"Putin denied Ukraine's right to exist in 2001. 21 years before full-scale invasion and 13 years before the Revolution of Dignity, which he often blames as the "root cause" for the war. The root cause has always been and remains the imperial tumor in his and other Russian heads," Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi wrote on his account on X.
He emphasized that in fact, "the root cause has always been and remains the imperial tumor in his (putin's - ed.) and other Russian heads."

Bush in the early 2000s, the russian dictator vladimir putin expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the aggressor country russia lost its influence on Ukraine.
