The European Union strongly condemns the US decision to impose travel restrictions on five European citizens, including former Commissioner Thierry Breton. The head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas announced this on her X-page on Wednesday, December 24.
Kallas emphasized that the United States' decision to impose travel restrictions on European citizens and officials is unacceptable. According to her, such actions demonstrate an attempt to question the sovereignty of the EU.
"Europe will continue defending its values - freedom of expression, fair digital rules, and the right to regulate our own space. We strongly condemn the U.S. decision to impose travel restrictions on five European individuals, including former Commissioner Thierry Breton," Kallas wrote.
