On the night of December 25, the russian terrorist army continued its attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector. Blackouts occurred in five regions. Besides, the government has made a number of decisions, including the completion of a tender for the construction of new generating capacity.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy Serhii Suiark has announced this.

"On Christmas night, the enemy continued to attack the Ukrainian energy sector. As a result, consumers in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odesa Regions were cut off from electricity (in the Odesa Region, the blackouts were caused by previous shelling)," the statement said.

It is noted that power engineers are working to restore all damaged equipment and supply power to consumers. Emergency repair work continues around the clock.

Meanwhile, on Christmas Day, December 25, hourly outage schedules and power limitation schedules for businesses will be applied in all regions of Ukraine.

"In order to ensure stable electricity supply to the population during the heating season in such difficult conditions, the government adopted a number of decisions at its meeting yesterday. Among them, in particular, strengthening control over compliance with the legislation in the fields of electricity and heat supply and completing the tender for the construction of new generating capacity," the Ministry of Energy added.

As a reminder, at night, the enemy shelled port and industrial infrastructure of the Odesa Region. Administrative, production and storage facilities were damaged. One person was killed and two were injured.
