Ukrzaliznytsia schedules 16 additional trains for Christmas and New Year holidays

The Ukrzaliznytsia is arranging 16 additional trains, trailer cars, and increased frequency of regular services for the Christmas and New Year holidays. This is stated in the message of the carrier on Facebook on Tuesday, December 23.

The Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the priority for the holidays is the Carpathian direction to provide an opportunity for recreation and rehabilitation for the Ukrainian military and families with children.

The Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled the following 16 additional trains:

• No. 255/256 Kyiv - Rakhiv
• No. 271/272 Kyiv - Ivano-Frankivsk
• No. 237/238 Kyiv - Uzhhorod
• No. 220/219 Kyiv - Dnipro
• No. 248/247 Kyiv - Odesa
• No. 265/266 Kyiv - Odesa
• No. 159/160 Kyiv – Truskavets
• No. 249/250 Kyiv - Lviv
• No. 289/290 Kyiv - Lviv
• No. 291/292 Kyiv - Lviv
• No. 741/742 Kyiv - Lviv
• No. 777/778 Kyiv - Lviv
• No. 197/198 Kyiv - Kovel
• No. 168/167 Odesa - Lviv.

In addition, train No. 291 Kyiv - Lviv will run with the most convenient (35 minutes) connection with train No. 157/158 Lviv - Chop, which passes through Slavsko, Volovets, Svaliava, Mukachevo.

Train No. 289 Kyiv - Lviv (arrival at 7:40 a.m.) also has a convenient connection with a flight to the Carpathians, so that at 10:51 a.m. you can take the modern diesel train Lviv - Vorokhta via Yaremche and Bukovel.

Additional high-speed trains are scheduled from Volyn and Slobozhanshchyna: No. 755/756 Kyiv - Lutsk and No. 720/719 Kyiv - Kharkiv.

Also, additional trailer cars from the Dnieper area in the western direction were assigned to run on the Dnipro - Lviv route to train No. 032/031 Zaporizhzhia - Przemyśl.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrzaliznytsia introduced a new train schedule on December 14, including for regional, suburban and city flights.

Also, in December, Ukrzaliznytsia launched new international connections.
