Water tariffs for citizens should remain unchanged. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Svyrydenko, in particular, reported that the government has appealed to the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (Energy Commission) to postpone the planned tariff changes.
"Our position is clear: in times of war, people should not feel additional financial pressure. At the same time, we must find a joint solution that balances the interests of consumers and the needs of service providers, water utilities, so that they do not lose and go into debt. The next step is for the Government, together with the Energy Commission, to work out a joint solution," she said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Bank previously predicted that utility tariffs could increase next year.
In October, Svyrydenko assured that the fixed price for natural gas for the population and budget institutions will remain unchanged until March 31, 2026.
