Another morgue employee was exposed in the Kharkiv Region, who systematically appropriated the personal belongings of fallen Ukrainian servicemen. This is stated in the report of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
As prosecutors said, in August 2025, law enforcement officers exposed a junior morgue nurse who stole the personal belongings of fallen servicemen who participated in the battles in the Kupyansk Axis. Prosecutors approved an indictment against her, the trial is ongoing. Currently, law enforcement officers have identified another person involved - her colleague, who also robbed fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
According to the investigation, the junior medical brother of the Chuhuiv branch of the State Criminal Investigation Service "Kharkiv Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination" appropriated the mobile phones of fallen servicemen.
During the search, law enforcement officers found stolen gadgets at him.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kupyansk District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv Region, the nurse was reported on suspicion of theft committed under martial law, repeatedly (Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, the issue of applying a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspect is being resolved.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, the possible involvement of the man in other similar episodes will be established and verified.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a group of fraudsters was exposed in Dnipro - they forged court decisions and, on the basis of enforcement proceedings, debited funds from bank clients' accounts to cards of controlled dropouts. The perpetrators were notified of the suspicions, they face up to 12 years in prison.
