Zaporizhstal emergency stops production due to complete power outage after russian attack on power system

As a result of massive russian shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities on December 23, PJSC Zaporizhstal was completely powerless, which led to an emergency shutdown of production. This is stated in a message published on the company's website.

As reported, the company's team promptly switched to alternative power sources and further safely stopped production processes in accordance with the anti-crisis regulations.

"Thanks to the timely response and professional coordinated actions of the personnel, as well as the emergency measures taken to minimize emergency situations, we managed to avoid a man-made accident and reduce the level of emissions into the atmosphere. There is no threat to the life and health of employees and citizens," the company said in a statement.

It is noted that the enterprise has now implemented operational solutions to stabilize the internal energy system. Further resumption of production will be carried out after the restoration of external energy supply.
