Tanks were damaged as a result of the morning attack on the Pivdennyi port in the Odesa Region.

Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba has reported this.

"The shelling does not stop. After eight in the morning, another attack on the port of Pivdennyi was recorded - there were hits to the tanks. Medical, rescue, pyrotechnic services are working on the ground, all the necessary emergency crews are involved," he said.

"The enemy is deliberately destroying the logistics infrastructure of the Odesa Region and terrorizing civilians, trying to interrupt the communication of the South of Ukraine. Despite the constant attacks, work continues in the region to eliminate the consequences of massive attacks," he wrote on Telegram.

"At night, the enemy launched a ballistic missile attack on the port in Odesa. As of now, the death toll, unfortunately, has increased to eight, about 30 people were injured," the official said.

"Despite the constant risks, port workers continue to work, maintaining the continuity of maritime logistics," the minister said.

"At the same time, work is underway to ensure logistics after the attack on the bridge in the area of Maiaky. The key thing is that residents of the Odesa Region have communication and access to all the necessary goods and services," he said.

"Transportation for emergency services, food cargo, postal carriers and other urgent transportation is provided. Ukrposhta delivers parcels, pensions and social benefits in a timely manner," the minister informed.

As of now, alternative transportation routes are in place to ensure both border logistics and the region's connection with other regions.

All checkpoints are open, we do not record significant traffic queues. To ensure uninterrupted passenger traffic, Ukrzaliznytsia is assigning an additional group of cars to Chisinau from Odesa and Kyiv - tickets are already on sale. We are constantly monitoring the situation.

"Ukrzaliznytsia, the Recovery Agency, and international partners are involved in the work. We have communicated with representatives of industries and the business community - everyone is ready to assist the Government," Kuleba said.

"For security reasons, we cannot communicate all the details publicly, but the humanitarian situation in the region remains stable. We are working on this around the clock," he added.
