Due to the security situation and damage to infrastructure in the Odesa Region, Ukrposhta has warned of temporary delays in mail delivery to the cities of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Reni, Izmail and nearby settlements. This is said in a statement by the company's press service.

The reason for the delays is an attack by the russian occupiers, which damaged a bridge near the village of Maiaky. Because of this, traffic on the section of the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway (to Bucharest) was completely blocked.

At the same time, Ukrposhta has implemented a backup plan for the delivery of pensions, so all payments will be made on time.

The company also said that Ukrposhta offices in the southern part of the Odesa Region are operating normally. Acceptance of shipments is carried out without changes. The delivery time and delivery of goods will depend on the actual arrival time of Ukrposhta vehicles.

"Despite the difficult logistical situation, we continue to work and will do everything to ensure that your shipments arrive as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding," the company said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian attack on the bridge in the Odesa Region on December 18 caused disruptions in communication with Moldova. Due to the threat and damage to the infrastructure near the border, traffic through certain checkpoints is temporarily blocked until the security situation stabilizes.
