The Cabinet of Ministers refused to postpone the introduction of the norm that provides for the mandatory use of payment transaction registrars for entrepreneurs who use the first group of the simplified taxation system.
This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev (Servant of the People) in Telegram, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I received the position of the executive branch of government on postponing the mandatory installation of payment terminals for individual entrepreneurs of the 1st group from January 1, 2026. The Ministry of Economy considers the postponement inappropriate. I do not accept and do not share this position, I believe that the Ministry of Economy does not take into account the real conditions in which small entrepreneurs work today," the deputy wrote.
According to him, we are talking about entrepreneurs who do not use tax schemes, do not "crush" business and do not engage in aggressive optimization, but carry out simple, small-scale trade.
"For many individual entrepreneurs of the 1st group, entrepreneurial activity during the war is to ensure their own existence. Only 14 days remain before the requirements for the use of individual entrepreneurs of the 1st group of payment terminals come into effect. I demand to postpone the deadlines for the mandatory introduction of terminals for the smallest individual entrepreneurs at least until the end of the war!!! I personally appealed to the Prime Minister," the MP concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, from October 1, 2023, taxi drivers are required to install payment terminals and issue checks.
