According to the results of the competitive selection, the Supervisory Board of Ukrnafta JSC, which includes both independent directors and representatives of the shareholders - Naftogaz of Ukraine and the state represented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, decided to elect Bohdan Kukura as the company's Chairman of the Board.
This is said in a statement by the company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that prior to his appointment, Bohdan Kukura held the position of Production Director, Chief Engineer of Ukrnafta.
It is noted that Kukura is an experienced specialist with many years of practical experience in the oil and gas industry, knows the company's production processes well and is directly involved in the development of oil and gas production areas.
Bohdan Kukura has a complete higher technical education as a mining engineer, a graduate of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas with a degree in Development and Operation of Oil and Gas Fields and an MBA degree.
His professional experience includes working for leading companies in the industry, including UkrGasVydobuvannya, Regal Petroleum and others, as well as project management in the design and development of oil and gas fields.
He is a co-author of a number of patents and technical solutions in the field of well operation and production equipment.
In general, Bohdan Kukura has over 26 years of experience in implementing technological and strategic projects in the oil and gas industry a change of management is expected in the largest oil and gas company in Ukraine.
