American propagandist Tucker Carlson said that US President Donald Trump may declare a war against Venezuela. He will allegedly announce this in an announced address to the nation.

Carlson made the statement in the Judging Freedom podcast, writes Clash Report.

The journalist said that his unnamed source said that members of the US Congress held a briefing to discuss a possible military operation against Venezuela.

He added that President Trump intends to announce this in an address that the White House has scheduled for 9 p.m. (4 am. Kyiv time).

"Who knows, by the way, if that’ll actually happen? I don't know. And I never want to exaggerate what I know, and I know quite a bit in general. But a member of Congress told me this this morning," Carlson said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 17, US President Trump announced a complete and total blockade of tankers moving to or from the ports of Venezuela.

On November 29, Trump announced that the United States would close the airspace over Venezuela.

The American leader also announced strikes on the ground facilities of "drug traffickers" in Venezuela.
