In just two weeks of December, over 450 enemy strikes were carried out on the Donetsk and Kharkiv Regions, mostly with air bombs and UAVs. As a result of these inhumane actions, 40 civilians were killed and over 180 were injured.

Evacuation, support for the local population, provision of combat units, the state of critical infrastructure, and solving the problems that people in frontline communities face every day. These topics became key during the working trip of the Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko to eastern Ukraine.

He discussed with the command of the National Guard corps the important issue of providing combat units. The needs for the next year have been formed - the Ministry of Internal Affairs is working to provide them.

Klymenko heard a report by the head of the Kupyansk Regional Military Administration Andrii Kanashevych, who noted that out of 8 communities in the district, mandatory evacuation of the population has been announced in 7. The forced evacuation of children also continues. About 3,000 people live in the zone of active hostilities. With the onset of cold weather and active shelling, people began to leave more actively. Currently, evacuation groups of the police and the State Emergency Service continue to work in an intensified mode to evacuate people from the front-line territories.

Separately, the minister noted the fighters of the 2nd corps of the National Guard Khartia and units of the State Border Guard Service, who are participating in the operation to unblock Kupyansk.
