Russia has once again struck at the energy infrastructure in the Donetsk Region, leaving hundreds of thousands of consumers without electricity. The situation with electricity supply in the Odesa Region is also difficult. Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk said this during a briefing.

He noted that emergency repair work has already begun, but emphasized that repair work in the frontline areas is significantly complicated by constant enemy shelling.

"In the Odesa Region, power supply has been restored to more than 334,000 customers, while 278,000 customers remain without electricity. In the Donetsk Region, 427,000 consumers remain without power supply," noted Kolisnyk.

According to him, due to the difficult situation caused by the consequences of the previous shelling, emergency blackouts are also applied in the Kharkiv Region in the morning.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian attacks completely cut off power to the part of the Donetsk Region controlled by Ukraine, while emergency blackouts are in effect in the Kharkiv Region.

Meanwhile, 288,000 families remain without electricity in the Odesa Region.
