From December 8 to December 15, the average price of liquefied natural gas in Ukraine at filling stations increased by UAH 2.01 per liter and reached UAH 37.14 per liter, which corresponds to the level of the end of January and is one of the highest since July 2022.
This is stated in the publication of the enkorr publication with reference to the monitoring of the A-95 Consulting Group.
The report says that the dynamics is due to a jump in purchase prices, in particular at the auction of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange on December 10.

So, significant delays in fuel supplies caused a shortage of the resource.
Gas from domestic producers rose in price by UAH 3.52-3.84 per liter to UAH 35.59-36.53 per liter (at a density of 549 kg/m3), and the average retail price for fuel was UAH 36 per liter.
Over the week, the average wholesale price of the product increased by UAH 4,910/ton (UAH 2.70/liter) to UAH 62,700/ton (UAH 34.42/liter).
In addition to the growth of the wholesale price, the cost of fuel in liter equivalent is also affected by a decrease in air temperature.
The temperature factor adds about UAH 0.81 per liter (at a temperature of +50C, the gas density (60/40) increases to 549 kg/m3 from 536 kg/m3 at +150C).
Gas prices at OKKO and WOG stations have risen by UAH 1 per liter in two steps (UAH 38.99 per liter).
SOCAR added UAH 2-4 per liter to its price tag depending on the region (UAH 37.98-38.98 per liter), narrowing the difference between it and the "green" on average to UAH 0.58 per liter.
The state-owned Ukrnafta network raised its prices by UAH 2.5-3 per liter to UAH 35.99-37.99 per liter. The lowest price in the network is in the Odesa Region.
UPG added UAH 1.90-2.80 per liter to its price tags (UAH 36.80-37.90 per liter).
Unlike Ukrnafta, the operator's maximum fuel price and increase is recorded in the Odesa Region.
Traders say that the intensification of import supplies by the end of December will gradually reduce wholesale prices. In particular, an increase in gas supplies to the south, a decrease in the cost of imported resources from Poland and Lithuania and a traditional holiday decrease in demand are expected.
It is noted that one should not expect a complete "rollback" of prices due to an increase in excise duty from January 2026 by EUR 25 per 1,000 liters, or UAH 1.5 per liter.
In addition, prices are also influenced by the exchange rate, which in December shows an upward trend.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the beginning of November 2024, average prices for autogas at the largest gas stations in Ukraine were at the level of UAH 35.92 per liter.
