The State Tax Service said that Ukrainians are obliged to declare income from OnlyFans, even if the account is deleted.
This is stated in the explanation of the State Tax Service in the Zakarpattia Region, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Specialists of the State Tax Service in the Zakarpattia Region explain to taxpayers how to determine the amount of income in order to submit a declaration of property and income received through the OnlyFans platform, if the account has been deleted and it is impossible to confirm such income on their own, and the tax authority has not provided official data.
The procedure for taxation of personal income is regulated in Section IV of the Tax Code of Ukraine, in accordance with clause 162.1 of Article 162 of which the payers of personal income tax are, in particular, a resident individual who receives income from both sources of their origin in Ukraine and foreign income.
Income from sources outside of Ukraine is any income received by residents, including from any activities outside the customs territory of Ukraine.
Accordingly, if the source of payment of any taxable income is foreign, the amount of such income is included in the total annual taxable income of the recipient taxpayer, who is obliged to file an annual tax return, and is subject to personal income tax at the rate.
According to the requirements of the Tax Code, an individual taxpayer is obliged to keep records of income and expenses in the amounts necessary to determine the amount of total annual taxable income, and is also obliged to ensure the storage of documents and information related to the determination of taxable objects
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the tax debt of Ukrainians who earned money from posting content on the OnlyFans platform in 2020-2022 reaches UAH 384.7 million. This data was provided by the State Tax Service in response to a request from the EP.
