The Security Service and the National Police have exposed three men who committed a double terrorist attack in Kyiv on December 11. The attackers acted on the instructions of russian special services. This is said in a statement by the SSU.

All three detainees are reportedly citizens of Ukraine, natives of the Odesa and Donetsk Regions, aged 23, 27 and 25. In Kyiv, they worked as laborers at a construction site and at the same time were looking for "easy money" on Telegram channels, where they were recruited by the enemy.

Having received the task to commit a terrorist attack, the attackers distributed roles and, in secret, purchased components for improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in various industrial stores.

After manufacturing the explosives, they placed them at the coordinates given to them by the curator. And to broadcast and coordinate the explosion by the russians, they installed mobile phones near the site of the attack, which transmitted video to the enemy online.

Both explosions took place in an industrial area patrolled by the National Guard. The first explosion occurred when two National Guardsmen were passing near an IED. As a result, one of them was killed, and the other soldier and the guard of the location sustained injuries of varying severity. The next explosion occurred when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. Two more police officers were injured in the explosion.

It is noted that the SSU and the National Police promptly identified the perpetrators and detained them at their place of residence.

As part of the criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (a terrorist act that led to the death of a person), the attackers will be served a notice of suspicion.
