For 11 months of 2025, customs authorities identified 8,851 violations of customs rules worth UAH 10.9 billion.
This is stated in the report of the Customs Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
For comparison, in 2024, Ukraine recorded a significant increase in violations of customs rules: 9,409 cases worth UAH 18 billion were detected (twice as much as in 2023).
In 3,194 cases of violation of customs rules, the objects of offenses worth more than UAH 1 billion were temporarily seized.
In particular:
- industrial goods worth UAH 699 million;
- vehicles worth over UAH 171 million;
- food products worth UAH 77 million;
- currency worth UAH 75 million.
In 1,880 cases of customs rules violation, including those initiated in the previous periods, customs applied administrative penalties in the form of fines amounting to UAH 56 million, and collected UAH 58 million to the state budget, taking into account cases considered in the previous period.
Customs offices submitted 5,010 cases of customs rules violations worth over UAH 10.5 billion to the courts for consideration.
As a result of the consideration of cases by the courts, including those initiated in previous periods, penalties (confiscation of goods and fines) amounting to UAH 6.4 billion were imposed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August, the Cabinet of Ministers launched a reboot of the State Customs Service.
