The budget deficit of the aggressor country russia has increased 12 times since the beginning of this year. This is evidenced by new data published by the Ministry of Finance of the russian federation, The Moscow Times writes.

In eleven months, the budget deficit amounted to RUB 4.27 trillion. This is 11.8 times the value for the same period in 2024. Back then, the "hole" in the russian budget was only RUB 362 billion.

According to the russian Ministry of Finance, budget revenues have practically stopped growing. Since the beginning of the year, the russian treasury has been replenished by RUB 32.9 trillion (+0.7%). At the same time, the budget expenditures of the aggressor country increased by 12% and reached RUB 37.7 trillion for the first eleven months.

Revenues from oil and gas sales continue to fall. In November, they were 22.4% less than last year. Non-oil revenues increased by 11.3%, but the budget managed to collect only 5.6% more value added tax (VAT). Adjusted for inflation, revenues from this tax also declined.

The Moscow Times recalls that initially, the russian authorities had included a "hole" of RUB 1.2 trillion in the 2025 budget. Lower oil prices, a stronger ruble, and a slowdown in the economy after several years of growth have forced officials in moscow to raise the deficit forecast to RUB 5.7 trillion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early December it became known that in November, russia's oil and gas revenues shrank by 34% compared to November 2024.

And in October, revenues from oil and gas sales were 27% less than in the same period last year.

We also wrote that in August, all exports of the aggressor country russia dropped by 17.1%.
