NBU Council appoints Lepushynskyi as Deputy Governor of National Bank

At its meeting on December 5, the National Bank Council appointed Volodymyr Lepushynskyi as Deputy Governor of the NBU.

This was announced in a statement by the NBU, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The relevant candidacy for the appointment was submitted to the National Bank Council by NBU Governor Andrii Pyshnyi.

In this position, Lepushynskyi will manage the "Monetary Stability" vertical.

He will begin performing his duties on December 8, 2025.

According to the Law "On the National Bank of Ukraine", the NBU Board consists of seven people: the Governor of the National Bank, the First Deputy Governor and five Deputy Governors of the NBU.

All Deputy Governors are members of the National Bank Board ex officio.

Lepushynskyi began his career in October 2004 at the National Bank - as an economist responsible for forecasting monetary market indicators.

In 2008-2014, he worked as the head of the department, deputy head of the department, head of the department of the Monetary Policy Department and the General Department of Monetary Policy.

From 2015 to 2019, he was the deputy director of the Department of Monetary Policy and Economic Analysis.

For six years, namely from December 2019, he headed the Department of Monetary Policy and Economic Analysis.

In 2004, Volodymyr Lepushynskyi received a master's degree in finance from the Kyiv National Economic University.

In 2010, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Scientific and methodological foundations of assessing the effectiveness of monetary policy in Ukraine" and received the degree of candidate of economic sciences from the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 15, the National Bank Council appointed Serhii Nikolaychuk as the First Deputy Governor of the NBU.
