On the night of December 6, russia massively attacked Ukraine, using 61 missiles and 653 drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 615 enemy targets.
It was reported by the Telegram channel of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, from 6 p.m. on December 5 to the morning of December 6, the enemy launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using attack drones, air, sea and ground-based missiles.
In total, the Air Forces' radio engineering troops detected and escorted 704 air attack vehicles - 51 missiles (17 of them ballistic missiles) and 653 drones of various types:
653 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera type (other types of drones) from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia, Chauda - Crimea (more than 300 of them are Shaheds);
3 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (launch areas: Ryazan and Tambov Oblasts of the russian federation);
34 Kh-101/Iskander-K/Kalibr cruise missiles (launch areas: Rostov Oblast of the russian frederation, Black Sea);
4 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launch areas: Bryansk, Rostov Oblasts, Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation, Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 10.00, air defense shot down/suppressed 615 air targets:
585 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera type (other types of drones);
29 Kh-101/Iskander-K/Kalibr cruise missiles;
1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile.
Hit by missiles and 60 attack drones at 29 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (wreckage) at three locations were recorded.
"The attack continues, there are several enemy drones in the airspace. Follow the safety rules!" the Air Forces warned.
