On the night of December 6, russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on energy facilities in 8 regions. As a result of the attack, consumers in 6 regions were cut off from electricity, and power companies are carrying out restoration work.
As a result of the strikes, consumers were de-energized, the Ministry of Energy reports.
"On the night of December 5-6, the enemy launched a massive missile and drone strike on electricity generation, distribution and transmission facilities in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv Regions. As a result of the attack in the morning, consumers in the Odesa, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv Regions are without electricity," the Ministry of Energy said.
According to the ministry, emergency repair work is already underway where the security situation currently allows it. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore power to all customers as soon as possible.
Hourly outage schedules are currently applied in all regions of Ukraine. Also, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses continue to be in effect in all regions of Ukraine.
