Russia and India have signed agreements that have caused discontent in the United States. In addition, some of moscow's statements could exacerbate the situation between the countries and complicate diplomatic contacts at a crucial time.

Journalists quote vladimir putin as saying during a visit to New Delhi on Friday that Moscow is ready to provide India with stable fuel supplies, which could cause tensions with the Donald Trump administration.
The words came after signing a number of cooperation agreements with Narendra Modi. Russian-Indian business contacts have already provoked a response in the United States.
The joint statement of the two sides emphasizes that bilateral ties remain resilient to external pressure, and India continues to pursue a course of cooperation with russia, despite the tightening of US import restrictions.
Analysts recalled that Washington is trying to reduce New Delhi's dependence on russian energy. To do this, the United States is applying economic measures. In particular, a 25 percent duty has been imposed on Indian imports of russian oil. This is justified by the need to increase pressure on moscow to end its war against Ukraine.
However, the Indian leadership has not yet demonstrated any intention to abandon cooperation with russia. Moreover, in some areas, it has increased significantly.
Against this backdrop, kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said that contacts between russia and the United States on peaceful issues continue, and the parties are making some progress. According to him, Moscow is ready to maintain interaction with the current American team, despite the growing contradictions in the energy sector.
