The key author of possible further changes in the peace plan to end the war in Ukraine will be US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Affinity Partners founder Jared Kushner.
Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov has reported this in a conversation with propagandist Pavel Zarubin, who, in turn, was cited by The Moscow Times.
"In many ways, if we continue to draw up a plan on paper that leads to a settlement, it will be Mr. Kushner who will be the one who will be guiding the pen," Ushakov said.
The russian presidential aide noted that Kushner's presence at the meeting held in the kremlin was "very useful", as it added an element of systematicity to the American side and successfully complemented the"charm and friendliness" of Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff.
Ushakov also spoke specifically about the tone of the conversation between vladimir putin and Whitkoff, calling their conversation "truly friendly" and adding that they "understand each other from the word go."
