Emergency power outages are currently being forced in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad (partially) Regions. It was reported by Ukrenergo.

It is noted that the previously published blackout schedules in these regions are temporarily not valid. Emergency blackouts will be canceled immediately after the situation in the power system stabilizes.

"At night, the enemy attacked power facilities in several regions. This resulted in damaged equipment and local blackouts. Emergency repair works have already begun. Power engineers are doing everything possible to supply power to all consumers as soon as possible," the statement reads.

As a result of previous massive missile and drone attacks, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses and hourly outages of 0.5 to 3 stages are being forced in all regions of Ukraine.

Electricity consumption has increased. On the morning of December 5, its level was 1.5% higher than at the same time on the previous day, Thursday. The reason for this is the use of fewer consumption restriction measures compared to the previous day.

"The need for economical energy consumption remains today. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances. If possible, transfer energy-intensive processes to night hours - after 10 p.m. Saving electricity will help to reduce the duration of forced outages," the power engineers added.

As a reminder, a 12-year-old boy was killed in the Dnipropetrovsk Region due to a russian attack.
