The offensive of the army of the aggressor country Russia in the area of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, has stalled. The occupiers are mired in urban battles and have started actively spreading disinformation to create "successes."
It was reported by the press service of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The enemy is locked in urban battles for Pokrovsk and is currently unable to capture the city with weapons. That is why the enemy is trying to intensify propaganda and disinformation," the statement said.
It is emphasized that the occupiers have intensified the dissemination of information about the alleged capture of Pokrovsk. This is done both openly through videos and numerous messages on the network.
According to the military, the situation in Pokrovsk remains difficult. Occupants keep trying to storm the northern part of the city. They are also trying to operate near the logistics routes of the Ukrainian army. However, the pace of liquidation of the russians in these areas is higher than their advance.
Despite the high intensity of the fighting, several rotations of personnel have been carried out in neighboring Myrnohrad over the past week.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the day before, German Bild analyst Julian Röpcke said that russian troops had allegedly captured Pokrovsk. The General Staff stated that this information does not correspond to reality. The Ukrainian military continue to maintain control over the northern part of the city.
Today, on December 3, the DeepState analytical project reported that russian troops advanced in the center of Pokrovsk. The northern part of the city remains in the "gray zone."
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also said that the Ukrainian military are working on creating additional supply routes in the area of Pokrovsk.
