Romania reported the destruction of a Ukrainian Sea Baby drone drifting 66 kilometers off the country's coast.
The Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported this on Wednesday, December 3.
The drone was discovered 36 nautical miles (approximately 66 kilometers) from the port city of Constanta. Military divers and coast guard officers were sent to the scene.
They determined that the drifting object was a Ukrainian Sea Baby drone. The response team received permission to neutralize it. It was destroyed by a controlled explosion at around 1:00 pm local time.
The agency added that since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country of russia, about 150 naval mines have been neutralized in the Black Sea. Seven of them were destroyed by the Romanian military.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, yesterday, December 2, the russian tanker Midvolga-2 was attacked in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey. It was transporting sunflower oil from the russian federation to Georgia.
And on November 29, drones attacked the tankers Kairos and Virat off the coast of Turkey. According to media reports, they are part of the so-called "shadow fleet" with the help of which the russian federation exports oil to circumvent sanctions.
