The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (Energy Commission) at a meeting on December 2 approved draft resolutions on increasing natural gas distribution tariffs for Gas Distribution Network Operators for 2026.
This was announced by the ExPro publication, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that after the publication of the draft resolutions on the regulator's website, comments and proposals will be accepted, after which a final decision will be made on increasing natural gas distribution tariffs.
It is expected that the new tariffs will be adopted by the end of 2025.
It is noted that tariffs for household consumers (the population) will remain unchanged, since Ukraine has a moratorium on tariff increases during martial law and six months after its abolition.
The lowest distribution tariff will remain at the Kharkiv city branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine, which is part of the structure of Naftogaz, - 0.65 UAH/cubic m (excluding VAT) from January 1 and 0.78 UAH/cubic m (excluding VAT) from April 1, 2026.
The total increase is 80%.
The highest gas distribution tariff in 2026 will be at PrJSC Hadiachgas - 3.16 UAH/cubic m (excluding VAT) from January 1 and 3.95 UAH/cubic m (excluding VAT) from April 1, 2026.
The total increase is 98%.
The largest increase in tariffs is planned for the Dnipropetrovsk branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine - up to 3.66 UAH/cubic m (excluding VAT) from April 1, 2026, 2.9 times more than the current tariff.
The tariffs for the Zakarpattia of the Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine will increase the least - up to 2.48 UAH/cubic meter (excluding VAT) from April 1, 2026, 25% higher than the current tariff.
On average, tariffs for natural gas distribution in Ukraine are planned to increase by 76% from April 1, 2026.
