On November 30, a police officer in his own car, a Hyundai Tucson, hit two 17-year-old sisters walking on the side of the road in the town of Karlivka, Poltava Region. The girls died on the spot from their injuries. This is stated in a report by the Prosecutor General's Office on Monday, December 1.
On the evening of November 30, in Karlivka, a police officer was driving his own car and hit 17-year-old sisters on the roadside, who died on the spot. After the incident, he initially fled the scene, but soon returned.
"According to preliminary data, he has signs of alcohol intoxication. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated over the incident under Part 4 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules by a person driving a vehicle while intoxicated, which caused the death of several people)," the statement said.
