The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has provided updated statistics on the employment of Ukrainians. At the same time, the regulator told how much our compatriots earn in the neighboring country.
This is reported in the publication of the inPoland website.
So, as it became known, the employment of Ukrainian citizens in Poland is currently at a high level. This figure is especially high among Ukrainians who arrived in the country before the full-scale aggression of the russian federation. According to the statistics of the Polish regulator, more than 90% of Ukrainian citizens who moved to Poland before the war are currently employed.
The median net salary of Ukrainians in the neighboring country almost reaches PLN 4,500 (about UAH 52,000 ). According to the authors of the publication, this salary is lower than the median monthly income of Poles.
At the same time, the National Bank of Poland also notes an improvement in employment among refugees. In 2023, 26% of people who took refuge in the country worked under precarious contracts. However, as of 2025, this figure dropped to 17%. According to analysts, the positive trend is facilitated by favorable conditions in the Polish labor market and active integration of migrants.
All in all, 14% of refugees in Poland are unemployed this year. For comparison, in 2023, 25% of internally displaced persons remained unemployed in the country. However, according to analysts, unemployment among refugees is still four times higher than among Poles
Most Ukrainians are employed in:
- IT sector;
- construction industry;
- transportation sector;
- personal services segment
At the same time, the number of self-employed refugees in Poland is growing.
As the Ukrainian News agency eaerlier informed, Poland is open to accepting Ukrainian refugees from the war, but we have already reached the limit and cannot accept any more. Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau in the Polish Presidential Administration, stated this on RMF FM radio.
