The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) seized several phones and laptops during searches from former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak, sources in law enforcement agencies told the Ukrainian Pravda (UP) website.
"They say that several devices were seized - phones, laptops. And, in fact, the contents of all this, as far as we understand, are currently being studied," said UP reporter Mykhailo Tkach.
He added that NABU and SAPO officers came to the government quarter at around 6 am on November 28.
"Around 6 am, NABU and SAPO officers entered or tried to enter the territory of the government quarter - there were certain questions there, because they were not allowed in - in the end, they went ahead, did not wait. There was information from Dzerkalo Tyzhnia that searches were taking place in the Office of the President, in particular, at Yermak's workplace, and in an apartment somewhere near the Presidential Administration. Our sources in law enforcement agencies do not confirm searches in the Office of the President, but they confirm searches at Mr. Yermak's place of residence," Tkach said.
He also noted that, according to his sources, the searches, which began around 6 am, ended around noon.
"Everything ended around two o'clock and they moved on to studying these gadgets, devices," Tkach concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak announced that he was going to the front after resigning amid a corruption scandal and NABU's investigative actions at his residence.
