Due to the massive russian strike on Ukraine, Poland raised military aviation. The military brought air defense and radar reconnaissance systems to combat readiness.
This was reported by the press service of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
"Due to the attack of the russian federation, which is striking at objects located on the territory of Ukraine, military aviation is operating in Polish airspace. In accordance with current procedures, the operational commander of the Polish Armed Forces has mobilized the necessary forces and means at his disposal. Fighter jets were raised, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached a state of readiness," the department noted at around seven in the morning.
The statement added that such actions are preventive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the security and protection of airspace, especially in areas adjacent to sensitive territories.
"The operational command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and subordinate forces and means remain ready for immediate response," the department emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of November 29, russia massively shelled Kyiv. It is noted that two people were killed as a result of the strike, and another 29 people were injured.
