The reports about the alleged "offensive" of the military of the aggressor country russia in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia Region, are not true. The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed the occupiers who tried to enter the town and stabilized the situation in this area of the frontline. This is stated in a message by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

"Difficult battles continue, as of now the situation is stabilized," said Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Information, officer of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Also, Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, said that the command took the necessary measures to improve the defense situation in the Huliaipolesector in a timely manner. Reserves have been redeployed to this section of the front.

"Despite everything, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy and do everything to not be ashamed of their fallen comrades and their own dignity," he emphasized.

The Center emphasized that by spreading such disinformation, the enemy is trying to sow fear among Ukrainians.

"Such fakes are aimed at emotional pressure, undermining confidence in the Armed Forces and undermining the internal stability of Ukrainian society," the Center added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to the DeepState analytical project, the army of the aggressor country russia was close to establishing control over Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia Region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to stabilize the situation and prevent the occupation of the settlement.
