AMCU allows UPG to buy 16 gas stations of Privat Group

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine at its meeting on November 27 allowed the UPG company of businessman Volodymyr Petrenko to buy out 16 more gas stations of the Privat Group company.

This is said in the AMCU's statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the AMCU's decision, UPG received permission to purchase 16 gas stations owned by LLC Like Invest, Start Business Plus, Ecotrade Company, Ailong Evolution, Newport Holding, Sky Project, Leader Finance, Naftaprime, Perspektyva Pro, Sorella Oil.

It is noted that these gas stations previously operated under the ANP and Avias brands.

Before the full-scale war, Privat's fuel network was the largest in Ukraine and included more than 1,500 gas stations under different brands.

The ultimate beneficial owner of most of these LLCs is Yurii Kiperman (born in 1946 in Dnipro, father of businessman Mykhailo Kiperman), according to Youcontrol.

According to Forbes, the UPG chain, controlled by Volodymyr Petrenko (the official owner is his sister Yuliia Vaskovska), ranks fifth among the largest gas station chains in Ukraine in terms of fuel sales, behind OKKO, WOG, Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta.

In 2024, the company's revenue amounted to UAH 38.4 billion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the AMCU at its meeting on November 20 allowed Ukrpaletsystem, a part of UPG group owned by businessman Volodymyr Petrenko, to operate in Ukraine, to lease another 15 gas stations from Privat Group and buy 10.

UPG is the fifth largest fuel retailer in Ukraine after OKKO, WOG, Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta.
