On November 27, rescuers found the body of a second miner who disappeared during the accident at the Inhulets mine in the Kirovohrad Region on November 12.
The Ministry of Energy and the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andrii Raikovych, reported on the completion of the search operations.
The deceased was found after many days of emergency and search operations. After the blockage was released, the body was raised to the surface. The Ministry of Energy specified that it was 42-year-old Volodymyr Kosiuk. He is survived by his wife and 11-year-old daughter.
As a reminder, the accident occurred on November 12, when a pulp leak occurred in the spent block of the mine, which flooded two horizons. Four employees of the Sviteks private enterprise worked at the site. Two were able to get out on their own and were raised to the surface. Communication with the other two was lost; one miner was found on November 17.
The circumstances of the tragedy are being established by a special commission of the State Labor Service.
