Farmers have sown almost all of planned areas, with just over 1% remaining

As of November 25, Ukrainian farmers sowed 6,429,900 hectares of winter crops. This is 98.1% of the projected area.

This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In particular, winter wheat was sown on 4,692,800 hectares; winter barley - 586,100 hectares and winter rye - 66,300 hectares.

The Chernivtsi and Cherkasy Regions are among the leaders in grain plantings.

Grain sowing has already been completed in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne and Chernihiv Regions.

Agricultural producers in all regions have virtually completed sowing winter rapeseed.

1,084,700 hectares were sown, which is 96.5% of the projected areas.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of November 18, Ukrainian farmers sowed 6,389,900 hectares of winter crops, which is 97.5% of the projected areas.
