The National Bank of Ukraine proposes to determine the regulations of the NBU's System of Electronic Payments (SEP) and the procedure for the operation of the Ukrainian banking system in the period from the end of 2025 to the beginning of 2026.

This is stated in the report of the NBU, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Thus, it is assumed that during this period, as well as throughout 2025, the SEP will operate in a regular mode (24/7) in accordance with the Technological Regulations of the system.

The NBU also plans to regulate the operation of the banking system of Ukraine during the end of the reporting year, including issues related to the work of banks with cash, as well as the deadlines for submitting files with statistical reporting indicators and reporting on active transactions.

The relevant rules are contained in the draft resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine "On the Regulations of the System of Electronic Payments of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Procedure for the Banking System of Ukraine in the Period of the End of the Reporting Year", which is proposed for public discussion.

Comments and suggestions to the draft resolution are accepted in accordance with the form for submitting comments and suggestions until December 4, 2025 inclusive.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the NBU's System of Electronic Payments is a state banking payment system that provides interbank settlements through accounts opened with the National Bank.

The SEP belongs to the real-time gross settlement system (RTGS according to the international classification).
