SSU denies preparing suspicions against Arakhamia and SAPO head Klymenko

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has said that the information that the special service is preparing suspicions against the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Davyd Arakhamia, and the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), Oleksandr Klymenko, is not true.

The SSU reported this to the Ukrainian News Agency.

"The information that the Security Service of Ukraine was allegedly preparing an announcement of suspicion of treason against the head of the Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamia, or the head of the SAPO, Oleksandr Klymenko, is not true," the SSU said.

They added that no such "instructions", "requests" or "hints" from the President's Office or any other structure have been received by the SSU.

"Moreover, according to the legislation, investigators of the Security Service cannot report suspicions to current MPs of Ukraine. Therefore, this informational injection has nothing to do with reality," the SSU added.

Earlier, information appeared in the media with reference to sources that the Office of the President was considering handing over suspicion of treason to the head of the faction, Davyd Arakhamia, on November 20, on the day of the meeting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Servant of the People faction - they were trying to find the "culprits" of the leak in the Mindich case.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Arakhamia's wife received social benefits, being a millionaire. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) believes that former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov helped businessman Tymur Mindich receive significant amounts of money. Also, according to NABU, former Minister of Justice and former Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko assisted businessman Tymur Mindich in controlling financial flows in the energy sector in exchange for his patronage before President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine stated that information about the alleged verification of the alleged involvement of the head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko in the case of MP's Fedor Khrystenko is not true.
