Hungary has said that some European countries are trying to block the US peace plan for Ukraine. This was reported by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, Sky News reports.
According to Szijjártó, despite the fact that the American document is a "great chance" to stop the fighting, "some Western European leaders", as he claims, are trying to block the implementation of this plan.
"Our position is clear: every European politician must fully and unconditionally support this plan, as it is a rational and humane choice," the minister said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the so-called US "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine was developed in October of this year. Two American officials and a representative of russian dictator vladimir putin took part in its development. Donald Trump did not know about it until the last moment.
On November 19, the American publication Axios wrote that the United States had developed a "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine. Work on it was carried out in consultation with the russian side. Axios later reported that the document consists of 28 points and contains russia's maximalist demands on Ukraine, which it has been putting forward since 2022.
