Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced a phone call with vladimir putin on Monday. During the talks, the leaders will discuss diplomatic efforts to end the full-scale war in Ukraine. He said this on X.
The Turkish leader, who seeks mediation, said that during his conversation with Putin he plans to raise the issue of renewing the agreement on the safe passage of grain through the Black Sea. He plans to call putin on Monday, November 24.
"Mr. Zelenskyy was my guest this week. Tomorrow I will have a phone conversation with Putin. Of course, we discussed in detail the Russian-Ukrainian war in our meetings and what we can do. We have been working hard on how to achieve peace. I hope that Turkey will do everything possible and we have already announced the mobilization of all forces for peace. I believe we will achieve it," Erdogan said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump said that Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is able to help end russia's war against Ukraine.
