European leaders are demanding that no restrictions be placed on the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of the US peace plan. This is reported by The Washington Post.

The plan, as reported by the newspaper, provides for the restoration of Ukraine's control over strategic facilities: the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the Kakhovka Dam. In addition, the document includes ensuring "free passage" along the Dnipro River and control over the Kinburn Spit.

The proposal states that other territorial issues will be resolved after the ceasefire is established.

An anonymous European official has revealed that senior officials from key EU countries, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom, are planning to join the negotiations on the peace plan in Geneva on Sunday, November 23.

More than a dozen European leaders, meeting on November 22 on the sidelines of the Johannesburg summit, prepared a counter-proposal, saying the original document was only a "framework that needs more work."

European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, issued a joint statement. They are concerned that "the proposed restrictions on the Armed Forces of Ukraine will leave Ukraine vulnerable to future attacks."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Yermak said that the Ukrainian delegation has started negotiations with European countries in Geneva.

President agrees on Ukraine's negotiators on the "peace plan": consultations will begin in the coming days.
