Belarus pardons 31 Ukrainian citizens - Lukashenko's spokeswoman

Belarus has pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens, and they are being handed over to the Ukrainian side right now.

Lukashenko's press secretary Natalia Eismant has announced this, the mouthpiece of the self-proclaimed head of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA agency, reports.

According to her, the pardon was a development of the agreements reached between Minsk and Washington.

"Following up on the agreements reached between US President Donald Trump and President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at the request of the Ukrainian side in order to create conditions for the settlement of the armed conflict in the neighboring state, guided by the principles of humanism and as a gesture of goodwill, the president pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens who committed criminal offenses. Right now, at this very moment, they are being handed over to the Ukrainian side," she said.
