The Ukrainian military launched drones at industrial enterprises in the Samara Oblast on the night of November 22, targeting "fuel and energy facilities," Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said.
He specified that two people were killed in Syzran while repelling the attack "as a result of the fall of a UAV", two others were injured.
According to local residents, Rosneft's Syzran refinery with a capacity of 8.5 million tons per year was hit. Before that, it was attacked in August, after which it temporarily stopped working.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also attacked several substations. In the Kursk Oblast, two boiler houses were knocked out of action as a result of an attack on a power facility in the Borovskoye neighborhood of Rylsk. About 3,000 subscribers were left without electricity, Governor Alexander Khinshtein said. According to him, no one was injured.
In the annexed Crimea, the attack targeted the 220 kV Krasnoperekopsk power substation located in the city of the same name. The footage from the site of the attack was geolocated by Astra. A fire broke out at the facility. The substation is used to transit and distribute power to the north of Crimea.
In the Rostov Oblast, drones attacked Millerovo, where there is a military airfield. Governor Yury Slyusar said that the administrative building and equipment in the yard were damaged. In addition, in the village of Trenevka, Millerovo District, windows were smashed in a private house, and an outbuilding and garage were damaged. No people were injured.
The russian Defense Ministry reported on the destruction of 69 drones overnight. 16 of them were shot down over the Rostov Oblast, 15 over the Samara and Saratov Oblasts. Another 13 drones were destroyed over Crimea. At night, Rosaviatsia reported the closure of airports in Samara, Saratov, Penza, Tambov and Ulyanovsk due to air attacks.
