On the night of November 22, drones massively attacked the temporarily occupied Crimea, with explosions in Simferopol, Hvardiiske, Krasnoperekopsk and Armiansk. According to preliminary information, critical energy facilities came under attack.
This is stated in the message on the pages of Crimean Wind and Astra on the social network Telegram.
According to local residents, the first explosions were heard around 12:45 a.m. in Simferopol. Witnesses reported explosions from the direction of the power plant, after which an ambulance arrived at the scene at about 12:50 a.m.
At around 1:00 a.m., a new series of powerful explosions were heard in the northwestern part of Simferopol.
The situation was also tense in the village of Hvardiiske, where the russian airbase is located. The subscribers of the monitoring channels counted about ten explosions accompanied by the sounds of shooting.
Explosions were also reported from Krasnoperekopsk and Armiansk.
One of the probable targets of the attack was the substation "220 kV Krasnoperekopsk". According to open sources, this is one of the key nodes of the Crimean power system, which provides main power to a large part of the peninsula.
