On Saturday night, russian occupation forces launched a massive strike on the south of the Odesa Region, the Orlivka checkpoint on the border with Romania was under attack, according to preliminary data, two people were injured.
The State Customs Service and the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, informed about the nightly enemy shelling on the Telegram messenger, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The Customs Service said that on the night of November 22, enemy shelling using strike UAVs damaged the infrastructure of the Orlivka ferry complex (Izmail District).
"The Orlivka international checkpoint is temporarily suspending operations. All necessary measures are currently being taken to eliminate the consequences," the message says.
Ukrainian customs officers urged citizens to use other nearby checkpoints to cross the border.
Meanwhile, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that in the south of the region, civilian facilities were damaged due to an enemy attack, including facades, roofs and glazing of administrative buildings.
11 trucks were damaged in the parking lot.
"Preliminarily, two people were injured. They are receiving the necessary medical care," Kiper added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of November 14, the russians attacked the Odesa Region with drones - an energy facility and civilian facilities were damaged.
