On Dignity and Freedom Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Ukrainians to stop the mess. Zelenskyy said this in a video message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Zelenskyy recalled the first days of the war, when unity was aimed at protecting the home from the enemy.
"And now we need unity more than ever, so that there is a decent peace in our home. I am addressing all Ukrainians now. Our people, citizens, politicians - everyone. We need to get together. Come to our senses. Stop the mess. Stop political games. The state must work. The parliament of a warring country must work unitedly. The government of a warring country must work effectively. And all of us together must not forget and not confuse who exactly is the enemy of Ukraine today," he urged.
Zelenskyy said that he feels that in this one of the most difficult moments in the country's history, he is not alone, that Ukrainians believe in their state.
He noted that the next week will be very difficult, eventful, there will be a lot of political and informational pressure on Ukraine to weaken and divide Ukrainians among themselves and with partners.
"We will work in the diplomatic field for the sake of our peace. We must work together within the country for the sake of our peace. For the sake of our dignity. For the sake of our freedom. And I believe, and I know that I am not alone. With me are our people, society, warriors, partners, allies, all our people are worthy, free, united," Zelenskyy said.
