US threatens to cut off arms supplies to Ukraine if it doesn't sign peace plan by November 27 - Reuters

The United States has threatened to cut off intelligence sharing and arms supplies to Ukraine in an attempt to force it to sign a US peace plan, Reuters reported on Friday, November 21, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

According to the sources, Washington is putting more pressure on Kyiv than at any previous peace talks. The US also wants Ukraine to sign a framework agreement by next Thursday, November 27.

"They want to stop the war and they want Ukraine to pay the price," the report said.

The US Ambassador to Ukraine and the head of the Army's public relations department, who traveled with the US delegation to Kyiv, called the meeting a success and said Washington was seeking "aggressive timing" for the signing of the document between the US and Ukraine.

On November 21, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that under the new peace plan, which was being worked on by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Ukraine and russia "will receive more than they have to give."

On November 21, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov reported that work on the peace plan is ongoing, and Ukraine is carefully studying the proposals of American partners regarding the peace plan.

According to Politico, the administration of US President Donald Trump expects to reach a framework agreement on peace in Ukraine by the end of November.
