Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told US Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll that Kyiv is ready to cooperate with Washington in implementing its new plan to end the war.
The American edition of Axios reported this, citing its own sources.
An unnamed official told Axios that Zelenskyy and Driscoll "agreed on an aggressive timetable for signing" the deal.
An unnamed Ukrainian official said Zelenskyy showed a lot of flexibility during the meeting with Driscoll.
"The solution is to try to work on this together to make peace possible," he was quoted as saying.
The American official added that this morning, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said in a conversation with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul that the new plan is a framework of ideas that includes the positions of both Ukraine and the aggressor country russia.
Witkoff told Wadefull that the Trump administration is acting responsibly and looking for ways to end the conflict in Ukraine.
He also told the German Foreign Minister that if anyone didn't like certain parts of the plan, they would let Washington know so it could find a compromise.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, earlier today, on November 20, the Office of the President of Ukraine said that Zelenskyy received a draft plan to intensify diplomacy from the American delegation that visited Kyiv the day before.
Yesterday, November 19, Axios reported that the United States and russia have secretly developed a plan to end the war. It consists of 28 points and contains moscow's maximalist demands, which it has been putting forward since 2022.
At the same time, Suspilne has just reported, citing an unnamed White House official, that US President Donald Trump knows about the development of the plan and supports it.
