US President Donald Trump is aware of a plan to end the war between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia, which has been worked on by the Special Envoy of the American leader Steve Witkoff for about a month. The White House confirmed this information to Suspilne.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump has said from the first day of his term that he wants the war between Ukraine and russia to end.

"And he's frustrated with both sides for their refusal to take responsibility for a peace deal," Leavitt said.

An unnamed Trump administration official told Suspilne on condition of anonymity that Witkoff is indeed working on a plan to end the war. He is allegedly collecting proposals from both Ukraine and russia that they consider acceptable to end the war.

"The president has been informed about the plan and supports it," the source added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, earlier today, on November 20, the Office of the President of Ukraine said that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a draft plan to intensify diplomacy from the American delegation.

Yesterday, November 19, Axios reported, citing sources, that the United States and russia have secretly developed a plan to end the war. It consists of 28 points and contains moscow's maximalist demands.

According to Bloomberg, the peace plan provides for the lifting of sanctions against russia, as well as a full amnesty for the russian side for war crimes.

And the British newspaper The Telegraph wrote that as part of the peace plan, Ukraine will have to reduce its army and give up long-range weapons.
